Hitachi 210 processor radiator upgrades
One of our top selling forestry radiators is the Hitachi 210 ZAXIS processor radiator. We have fine tuned the high flow flat fin face-dipped copper/brass radiator to replace the light duty very 'fine-finned' plastic tank/aluminum radiator that the machines come with. We built several prototype radiators in 2010-11 and improved the design until the optimum cooling balance was achieved (considering oil cooler and charge air cooler in the same airstream). These copper/brass radiators use a flat fin core (with a fine-tuned number of fins per inch) that is face-dipped for extra fin strength and uses 3/4" dimpled tubes that maximize cooling efficiencies. The header style and sides have been upgraded for more heavy duty construction. We install OEM weatherstripping on the 210 radiators as well as ensure that the drain/filler neck and overall fit is perfect to make installation a breeze. According to our customers, this radiator stays cleaner and has solved the overheating issue on these high-duty cycle machines.
